ten pilfered motorbikes found, two people detained

Following the recovery of ten stolen bikes from their parade, the police have detained two people.

A 17-year-old youngster who reportedly used to purchase stolen motorcycles from the accused was also taken into custody, according to the police.

The two defendants are allegedly part of an interstate bike theft group, according to the police.

Sukhwinder Rana, in head of the Anti-Vehicle Theft Cell, had got a tip that two people would travel to Uttar Pradesh via Tajewala village in the Yamunanagar district in order to sell a stolen motorbike, according to police spokesperson Chamkaur Singh. He continued, saying that following that, a group was assembled and they built a barrier close to Tajewala village.

He claimed that two people riding bikes were stopped during the inspection, and after an inquiry, a stolen bike was found in their hands. The suspects were identified as Gaurav, also known as Gora, of Pipli Majra village, and Vikas, also known as Pado, of Chuharpur Kalan village.

According to the authorities, the juvenile child used to purchase stolen bikes from the accused.

According to a police spokeswoman, the suspects acknowledged stealing eight motorbikes from Yamunanagar district and two bikes from Paonta Sahib during their questioning.

Following a day-long police remand, Vikas and Gaurav appeared before the Duty Magistrate on Sunday, following which the magistrate placed them under judicial detention. After the little kid appeared in court on Saturday, he was placed in an observation home in Karnal.

According to the police, the suspects acknowledged under questioning that they had taken two bikes from Paonta Sahib and eight motorbikes from the Yamunanagar area.
