The CEO of Tamil Nadu cautions authorities from announcing new plans too soon before the Lok Sabha elections

CEO Satyabrata Sahoo instructed secretaries of all departments on Friday to make sure that no announcements on new plans or the issuance of G.O. take place after the notification of the elections, as the LS polls are anticipated to be announced in the second week of this month.

Within two hours of the elections being announced, the CEO instructed the secretaries to “ensure this by drawing a line after the last entry of the G.O. register, take a photocopy of the last page where such a line has been drawn, and send it to the CEO’s office.”

This is to prevent complaints about orders that were placed before the poll was announced. He said that there have been claims that directives that were supposed to be given earlier were instead released one or two days after the polls were announced, giving the impression that they were issued earlier.
