The dead soldier was scheduled to return to his MP hamlet home for his birthday

On Saturday, Corporal Vicky Pahade was scheduled to come home to celebrate his son’s birthday on May 7th, but he was slain in a terror assault in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

The fallen soldier lived in the hamlet of Nonia-Karbal and was a native of the Chhindwara region of Madhya Pradesh. “I salute the martyrdom of Vicky Pahade, a resident of Nonia-Karbal, Chhindwara district, Madhya Pradesh, and pay my tribute to the immortal martyr,” former MP and chief minister Kamal Nath said on social media.

According to the neighbors, Cpl. Pahade joined the unit on April 18 after visiting his family last month to attend his sister’s wedding. In 2011, Cpl. Pahade (33) enlisted in the IAF. His mother, wife, three sisters, and five-year-old kid all survive him.

On May 4, insurgents assaulted an IAF convoy near Poonch, killing Pahade and wounding four other servicemen. According to the IAF, the Air Warriors retaliated by firing back.

According to SP Manish Khatri, a special Air Force aircraft would transport Pahade’s lifeless remains to Nagpur, in neighboring Maharashtra, on Monday. According to him, a special vehicle will transport the remains to Chhindwara, where the last rituals will be carried out under guard of honor.

Family relatives said Pahade enlisted in the IAF in 2011. His son Hardik, whose birthday is next month, and his wife Rina survive him.
