The Mo Booth app was released to streamline and simplify the voting process

Chief electoral officer (CEO) Nikunja Bihari Dhal introduced the Mo Booth smartphone application here on Wednesday in an effort to streamline and simplify the voting process for voters and poll workers in the Khurda district.

In addition to assisting voters in finding their assigned polling places, the mobile application will offer them up-to-date information on the amount of people in line at a particular booth at any given moment. Voters would then be able to schedule their visit to the booth appropriately.

The Khurda government created the program, which offers many features for poll workers such as sector officers and booth level officers (BLOs). Through the program, the BLOs may inform other authorities and voters about the current number of voters in line at a certain moment.

According to the CEO, providing authorities with up-to-date real-time queue status information would facilitate the resolution of any voting process bottlenecks and improve openness and effective queue management.

The tool allows sector officials to track the arrival of polling parties, the progress of both mock and real polls, and the status of polling completion. According to Dhal, the app will assist sector officials in quickly reporting and resolving issues related to law and order as well as any issues with electronic voting machines (EVMs). An Android version of the Mo Booth application is presently accessible. Chanchal Rana, the collector and district election officer, was among those in attendance.
