Heavy Rain Impact: Rain wreaked havoc in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh, that people had to stay awake throughout the night. In fact, due to the continuing rain since Monday evening, the streets of the city to the houses of the people were waterlogged. Due to non-availability of water, people of some areas had to stay awake overnight. People were busy in drawing water from their homes.

The employees of the Municipal Corporation had also started making drainage in the waterlogged areas since morning. At some places, road water was pumped out by motor pumps. There is also a huge resentment against the municipal administration among the people in the waterlogged areas. The people of Banjari Nagar have also complained by submitting a memorandum to the Zone Commissioner for water entering the houses due to negligence in cleaning the drain.

Waterlogging remained in these areas till noon
on the main road in front of Martyr Memorial Building, near Ekatma Complex, Banjari Nagar, Nehru Nagar, Jalvihar Colony, Anand Nagar, Shyam Nagar, Gudhiyari Under Bridge, Underbridge near Disha College, Gondwara Road, Bhathagaon Water remained in Kathadih Marg, Professor Colony, Banjari Nagar, Rajatalab area, Shivanand Nagar and other areas till noon.

The commissioner reprimanded the officers fiercely,
on the problem of waterlogging, an immediate meeting was called to all the zone commissioners, zone health officers at the corporation headquarters. Where corporation commissioner Prabhat Malik reprimanded all the officers. Said that after cleaning the main drains, attention was not paid to cleaning the minor drains. This is the reason that the waste of small drains got stuck in the big drains and got waterlogged

All the zone commissioners, zone health officers and officers of the committee constituted for flood disaster management were asked in the meeting that when there was water logging in the city, how many officers had come out to make arrangements for drainage at night. After this all the officers started peeping from side to side. The commissioner said that as long as the rainy season lasts, the officers involved in the flood disaster committee will be on duty for 24 hours.

In the
meeting, Mayor Ejaz Dhebar and Health Department Chairman Nagabhushan Rao instructed the zone officers to conduct a campaign to deepen the city's big drains and break the illegal construction on the drains. The Mayor canceled the cleaning contract of all the wards and asked to issue a new contract. Along with this, the officials were instructed that only those who pay more than one percent rate should be given the contract for cleaning.

UPSC Civil Services Exam 2020 result: Shubham Kumar topper, Tina Dabi's sister ranked 15th

Union Public Service Commission has declared the UPSC Civil Services Result 2020 on Friday evening. Candidates who appeared for the exam can check the result on the official site of UPSC at upsc.gov.in. This time Shubham Kumar from Bihar, who studied engineering at IIT Bombay, has topped the examination. Jagriti Awasthi has secured the second position. Ankita Jain, Yash Jaluka and Mamta Yadav are ranked third, fourth and fifth respectively. At the same time, the sister of former topper Tina Dabi has secured 15th position.

The preliminary exam of UPSC was conducted in October 2020. The main examination was conducted by the commission from 8 January to 17 January 2021. Candidates who qualified the main exam were called for interview. The interview or personality test for selection to the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service and other Central Services (Group 'A' and Group 'B') was held from August 2 to September 22, 2021.

A total of 761 candidates have been recommended for appointment. Recruitment to various services will be made according to the number of vacancies available keeping in view the provisions contained in the rules of the examination. The candidature of 151 recommended candidates is provisional.

This recruitment drive is for filling up 836 posts, out of which 180 are for IAS, 36 for IFS, 200 for IPS, 302 for Central Services Group A and 118 for Group B Services. The marks of the candidates will be available on the website within 15 days from the date of declaration of result.

Tina Dabi's sister got 15th rank

At the same time, UPSC Civil Services topper and IAS Tina Dabi's younger sister Riya Dabi has secured 15th rank in the UPSC CSE Result 2020 declared on Friday. The elder sister had secured the first rank in 2016. Tina took to her Instagram to congratulate her younger sister. He wrote, "I am happy to share that my younger sister Riya Dabi has secured 15th rank in UPSC 2020 exam."

Like elder sister, Riya is also a student of Delhi University. She has graduated from Lady Shri Ram College. Apart from studies, he is also interested in painting. Riya is a resident of Delhi. His sister, IAS Tina Dabi is currently posted as Joint Secretary Finance (Tax) in Rajasthan Cadre.

While Dabi could not be this year's female topper, Jagriti Awasthi of Bhopal has secured this position. She is an engineer by profession, an employee of BHEL and had sociology as her optional subject. Shubham Kumar, who secured the top rank this year, hails from Katihar, Bihar. He is an alumnus of IIT-Bombay. This is his second attempt. He had earlier appeared for the civil services in 2019 and secured 290 rank.
