The Uttarakhand government provides sanitary napkins and blankets to construction workers across all districts

In keeping with the “Antyodaya” ethos, the Uttarakhand government, led by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, set up special camps in each of the state’s districts and gave out over 25,000 blankets, umbrellas, and 15,000 sanitary napkins to registered construction workers.

In January of this year, Chief Minister Dhami issued an order directing the distribution of blankets to each and every one of the state’s over three lakh registered workers.
Following this order, the Uttarakhand Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board and Labor Department’s administrative officials and public representatives distributed the necessary items on February 16.

In addition, over 25,000 workers had free health examinations. Official sources claim that the government has made the decision to guarantee this program’s broader reach.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami began the blanket and other good distribution campaign to registered workers on January 31, 2024. The workers were given blankets at the Uttarakhand Building and Other Construction Welfare Board Labor Department, which is located close to the IT Park on Sahastradhara Road.
