The whole country is saddened by the martyrdom of the soldiers in the Ladakh accident, President Kovind, PM Modi, and others expressed grief

A major accident took place on Friday in the Turtuk sector of Ladakh. Seven Indian Army personnel have been martyred after a vehicle carrying 26 jawans fell into the Shyok river. 19 others have suffered serious injuries in the accident. An official said that the best medical facilities are being provided to the injured. Many people including President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi have expressed grief over this big incident. Along with this, he has wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.

President Ram Nath Kovind said that it is sad to learn that an unfortunate road accident in Ladakh has claimed the lives of some of our brave soldiers. My heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased. I pray for the speedy recovery of the injured.

PM Modi expressed grief
Expressing grief over the major accident in Ladakh, PM Modi said, 'I am hurt by the bus accident in Ladakh, in which we have lost our brave army soldiers. My condolences are with the bereaved families. I hope those who have been injured get well soon. All possible help is being provided to the affected.

Defense Minister Raj Nath Singh said that due to a bus tragedy in Ladakh, deeply saddened by the loss of life of our brave Indian Army personnel. We will never forget his exemplary service to our country. My condolences to the bereaved families and pray for the speedy recovery of the injured. Spoke to Chief of Army Staff General Manoj Pandey, who apprised me of the situation and the steps taken by the Army to save the lives of the injured soldiers. The army is providing all possible help to the injured jawans.
