The Women’s Reservation Bill Was Stalled By Opposition Parties For Three Decades: PM Modi

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the opposition parties have blocked the women’s quota law for thirty years and are now attempting to split women along caste and religious lines after the measure has been enacted.

Speaking at a gathering in Vadodara to express gratitude for the bill’s passing through both chambers of Parliament, the Bharatiya Janata Party, which is now in power, organized the event.

“Look at their track record; they postponed the women’s reservation law for thirty years. In his remarks at the ceremony attended by hundreds of women at Navlakhi Ground, Modi stated, “They are attempting to separate women in the name of caste and religion while the law has been enacted.

“I urge women to be wary of them,” Modi continued as the opposition parties grudgingly announced their support for the legislation.
