Ticket booking-reservation services will be disrupted for six hours for the next 7 days, the reason given by the Railways
The Ministry of Railways has issued important information related to the Passenger Reservation System. The ministry has informed that from midnight of November 14 to midnight of November 21, all services related to ticket booking and reservation will be disrupted for a week. According to the statement, this step has been taken by the Railways with the objective of normalizing passenger services and returning to pre-Covid levels in a phased manner.
The Ministry of Railways informed on Sunday that the Passenger Reservation Service will remain closed for 6 hours at night for the next 7 days in order to normalize the services related to passengers. The Railway Ministry said that no PRS service (Passenger Reservation System) will be available during these 6 hours from 11:30 pm to 5:30 am.
The ministry informed that passengers will not get any service related to passenger reservation service like ticket reservation, current booking, ticket cancellation, inquiry service etc. for 6 hours and this effect will be applicable for a week i.e. till November 21. However, except the PRS service, all other inquiry services will continue uninterrupted.
'Special' tag removed from trains
Let us tell you that the railway is now returning to the situation before the corona infection. In this episode, Indian Railways has also abolished the special status of trains. Now trains will be operated on old number and on old fare only. According to the railways, now '0' will be removed from the number of the special train and all the trains will run from the same number as the precovid train. The railway fare which was before Kovid will also be applicable. The Railways on Friday issued an order to remove the 'special' tag for mail and express trains and return the pre-pandemic fares with immediate effect.
