The National Institute of Plant Health Management (NIPHM), Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Government of India, organized a one-day training program at the Holistic Himalaya Farmer Producer Company in the Salooni subdivision of Chamba as part of a cooperative effort to increase exports of agricultural and horticultural products.

Support for the training project came from the Department of Horticulture (Salooni), led by scientific officer Jyoti Bhardwaj.

President of Holistic Himalaya Yunus Bano, CEO Muhammad Riaz, and female farmers connected to the organization were among those who actively participated in the conference.

Dr. Bhardwaj gave an overview of the agricultural operations that NIPHM supports, highlighting the organization’s involvement in national and international training for plant health management and export capacity improvement.

She emphasized NIPHM’s emphasis on cutting-edge farming techniques that might be used to a range of agricultural industries.

Dr. Bhardwaj gave the audience information on agricultural goods’ characteristics connected to export. She gave them her word that NIPHM would help advance agriculture by boosting exports.

She noted that in order to enable farmers in distant locations properly sell their Himalayan resources and goods, efforts will be undertaken to provide them with technical skills. She also spoke about government activities aimed at increasing awareness. Dr. Bhardwaj received assurances from the farmers that they will enhance their field gathering techniques and use sustainable farming practices. She saw Chamba’s potential in agriculture and its aspirational position. It is anticipated that by working together, farmers would be able to standardize their farming techniques via technology and increase their revenue.
