Two people are accused of assault

Phagwara: Two people have been charged by the Nakodar City Police for beating his aunt. The suspects, according to the police, were Harman, a resident of Nawi Aabadi, Nakodar, and his collaborator, who was not named. The suspects waylaid Prince, a resident of Partab Pura village, which is within the jurisdiction of Sadar Jamsher police station, Prince informed the police. On May 6, they thrashed and threatened him in front of a dairy in Nakodar. He was seriously hurt. There is a registered case under Sections 323, 324, 506, and 34 of the IPC. OC

Phagwara: A person has been detained by the Lohian Khas police on suspicion of brewing illicitly produced alcohol in the nation. Major Singh, the investigating officer, said that Charanjit Singh, a Pipply village inhabitant, had been identified as the culprit. Lahan and brewing/storage gear were found in his possession. A complaint has been filed against the suspect in accordance with Sections 61, 1 and 14 of the Excise Act. According to IO Sulinder Singh, Gurnam Singh, a resident of Thamu Wal village, was arrested by the Shahkot police for peddling alcohol. OC

FCI employees will walk in protest.

Phagwara: If their long-standing demands are not met, all members of the FCI Executive Staff Union will begin “Work to Rule” on June 24. In a meeting that took place here on Sunday, a decision to this effect was made. HS Chatha, national president of the Union, chaired the meeting. On May 21, union members will demonstrate in favor of their demands at lunch at all district offices, and on June 5, they will organize protests. Additionally, they plan to demonstrate in front of regional offices on June 12 and zonal offices on June 19 and June 21. Among their main requests are changes to the transfer policy and “Railway Transit Loss.” OC

Two miscreants are apprehended

Phagwara: On Saturday night, the police apprehended two miscreants and found a stolen cell phone in their hands. The suspects have been identified as Happy, also known as Dholi, a resident of Hadiabad, and Pawan, also known as Pamma, a resident of Chhajj Colony, Phagwara, said to Gaurav Dhir, SHO, Satnampura. After being shown to the judicial magistrate, the suspects were placed under two days of police detention so that they could be questioned in more detail. OC

Holding a 500 gram bag of ganja

Phagwara: On Saturday night, the Satnampura police detained a narcotics dealer and took 500 grams of ganja out of his hands. According to Superintendent of Police Rupinder Kaur Bhatti, Kabul Kumar, a Bihar immigrant now staying in Nanak Nagari, Phagwara, has been identified as the suspect. At a checkpoint close to Law Gate in Miherru, he was apprehended. According to SP Bhatti, a complaint under the NDPS Act has been filed against the suspect.
