Uttarakhand: Second day of roadways employees' strike, not resolved even after talks with UTC

The strike is being carried out across the state even today by Uttaranchal Roadways Employees Union. Due to the strike in Uttarakhand, many travelers are also facing problems in different parts of the state.
If the protesting unions are to be believed, they have approached the management of Uttarakhand Transport Corporation (UTC) many times before regarding their demands and complaints, but no action has been taken, due to which they are forced to protest. About three and a half thousand workers associated with the union have participated in this strike. On the other hand, the roadways management had called the employees for talks yesterday but no solution could be found out from this talks also.
70 percent of roadways buses not operating
Talking about the inconvenience caused to the passengers due to the strike, Shok Chaudhary, secretary of Uttaranchal Roadways Employees Union, said that about 70 percent of roadways buses were not operated across the state on Wednesday.
He said that yesterday we had a meeting with the Managing Director (MD) of the Uttarakhand Transport Corporation (UTC) of the Sangh, but no solution could be reached from this dialogue. Chaudhary told that now there will be another meeting with the corporation on Thursday. Union members said that they will continue their protest across the state till the administration agrees to all the demands.
