“We need to develop industries for the country’s growth,” says Nitin Gadkari

Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, said on Thursday that India has the world’s fastest expanding economy, emphasizing the need of developing businesses and commerce for the country’s prosperity.

“Prime Minister Modi’s dream is to make India a five trillion dollar economy,” the Union minister stated at the RICS annual awards event in New Delhi. At the same time, we have the world’s fastest expanding economy.”

 

The senior BJP leader said that the automoible industry has made significant progress, with a current revenue of Rs 7.5 lakh crores.

“This is the industry that pays the most in Goods and Services Tax to the federal and state governments.” “This is the industry that generates 4 crore 50 lakh jobs,” claimed the Union minister.

 

 

 

The Union minister emphasized the need of developing industries for the country’s progress.

 

“For our country’s growth, we need to develop industries, improve trade and business, and focus on agriculture,” he stated.

 

According to the minister, there is a need to build infrastructure in the areas of water, electricity, transportation, and communication. “We need more public-private investment in infrastructure,” he says.

The International Monetary Fund forecasted India’s economy will grow at 6.1 percent in 2023, a 0.2 percentage point increase from the April forecast, reflecting momentum from stronger-than-expected growth in the fourth quarter of 2022 due to increased domestic investment.
