Devendra Fadnavis, while answering the questions of media persons at Nagpur airport, told about the division of departments. He said that the newly appointed ministers in the state would soon be given their portfolios. He also assured that the government would soon compensate the farmers for the damage caused to the crops due to heavy rains.
Significantly, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde had expanded his two-member cabinet. He inducted 18 ministers into his cabinet 41 days after taking oath as the chief minister. Among the new ministers, 9 are from the rebel Shiv Sena faction and 9 from the BJP. After the expansion of the cabinet, Eknath Shinde had said that everyone would take over the responsibility of their respective departments. Whatever work the people of this state want will be done. These people will work for the all-around development of the state.
The ministers who took oath include senior BJP leaders Sudhir Mungantiwar, Chandrakant Patil, Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, Girish Mahajan, Suresh Khade, Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Atul Moreshwar Save, Vijaykumar Gavit, and Ravindra Chavan. At the same time, the rebel faction of Shiv Sena includes Dada Bhuse, Uday Samant, Gulabrao Patil, Shambhu Raje Desai, Sandipan Bhumre, Sanjay Rathod, Deepak Kesarkar, Abdul Sattar, Tanaji Sawant.
