World Leaders Congratulate PM Modi On the Success of Chandrayaan-3, and Indians Celebrate in Times Square at the BRICS Banquet Dinner

On August 23, Prime Minister Narendra Modi received congratulations from a number of international leaders as India became the first nation to set foot on the moon’s south pole. This occurred at the BRICS Summit banquet meal on Wednesday in Johannesburg.

Regarding the Chandrayaan-3 mission, PM Modi previously said that it is extremely heartening to see the excitement of our diaspora in South Africa for India’s successes in the space industry. “Feeling the fervor for Chandrayaan-3 all the way from Johannesburg! It is really heartening to see how proud our diaspora in South Africa is of India’s accomplishments in the space industry, PM Modi said in a post on the social networking platform X.

PM Modi thanked international leaders for their well wishes after getting enormous praise for the success of the Chandrayan-3. In response to the wishes of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the prime minister said that the achievement is not only a source of pride for India but also a shining example of human tenacity and effort.

India became the first nation to land on the south pole of the moon on Wednesday thanks to Chandryaan-3’s successful soft landing on the lunar surface. From India’s primary spaceport in Andhra Pradesh, ISRO launched the Chandrayaan-3 mission on July 14. It successfully reached lunar orbit on August 5.

Throughout the nation, special screenings of the soft landing were planned at public institutions including schools and scientific centers. The live broadcast was made accessible by ISRO on its website, YouTube channel, Facebook page, and public television station DD National TV.

In the meanwhile, the Indian diaspora gathered in Times Square in New York to commemorate Chandrayaan-3’s successful landing. The occasion is not only a source of pride for India, but for the whole globe, according to Prem Bhandari, a well-known diaspora leader and volunteer with Rescuing Every Distressed Indian Overseas, Rajasthan Association of North America (RANA), and Jaipur Foot USA.
