Yeddyurappa cabinet reshuffle, reformer gets health ministry while Sriramulu gets charge of social welfare ministry

Shriramulu was taken charge of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Medical Education Minister K.K. Is given to Sudhakar. Yeddyurappa also withdrew the Backward Classes Welfare Department from Sriramulu and kept this department with him. Sriramulu has been given the social welfare department, which was held by Deputy Chief Minister Govind Karjol till now. He also has a Public Works Department.
Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Vala issued an official notification on the advice of the Chief Minister and redistributed the departments. Sudhakar will now be in charge of all health-related matters in the state. There is an increase in cases of covid-19. Official sources said that the Chief Minister has taken this decision with the intention of running the concerned departments by a minister.
He said that Yeddyurappa chose Sudhakar because he is a doctor by profession and has been discharging responsibilities related to covid-19. The opposition has alleged corruption in the purchase of covid-19 equipment but the BJP government rejected them.
Earlier, Sudhakar while speaking to reporters on Monday said that the Chief Minister has asked him to take responsibility of the Health Department along with medical education so that it can effectively fight against the corona virus and provide better health facilities to the 6.5 crore people of the state To be provided. Sudhakar said that social welfare is a big department whose budget is more than 25 thousand crores and he (Sriramulu) wanted this department with him earlier.
