A strapped shoulder video of an India star who was severely injured during practice before the second test against South Africa became viral

All-rounder Shardul Thakur, a seam bowler, took a knock to his shoulder in the nets while batting on Saturday, giving the Indian squad a worry. The second Test in Cape Town, which starts on January 3, may be missed by him, but if necessary, scanning might be used to determine the degree of the injury. It is unknown at this time if his ailment justifies scans.

During the net session, however, Thakur was unable to bowl due to severe pain.

When facing throwdowns from batting instructor Vikram Rathour, Thakur—the first player to approach the throwdown nets—was struck in the left shoulder.

Rathour threw a throwdown that kicked up from length around fifteen minutes into the net session.

It had Thakur entangled, just as it did during the first Test’s second innings when David Bedingham completed a catch thanks to a bowler called Kagiso Rabada.

Thakur cried out in agony as soon as the short ball struck his leading shoulder (left) in this instance as well.

Nevertheless, the Mumbai all-round player kept on batting in the nets.

The physio wrapped an ice pack across his shoulder after he completed his batting session, and he did not return to the nets.

Even though it could only be a minor bruise, it will be fascinating to see how soon the damage heals.

Having conceded more than 100 runs in only 19 overs and displaying subpar batting skills, Thakur was a major letdown in the first Test match.
