Billie Jean King Cup: India won 2-1 against South Korea

India beat South Korea 2-1 in an Asia Oceania Group 1 match to win their third Billie Jean King Cup. India now sits second in Pool A after the victory, having won three and lost one. China Taipei (2-1) and Pacific Oceania (3-0) have previously been beaten by India. China had defeated them 0–3. The playoffs will be extended to the top two clubs.

Anirudh and Akash lose their bronze medal fights.

On the last day of the men’s freestyle tournament at the Asian Championships, Indian wrestlers were unsuccessful as three wrestlers withdrew before the medal round, while Akash Dahiya and Anirudh Kumar lost their bronze medal fights. In the 61-kg non-Olympic division, Akash was defeated by Enkhbold Enkhbat of Mongolia because to better technical skills. In the playoffs, Bahrain’s Shamil Sharipov submitted Anirudh at 125 kg.

Kerala Blasters FC’s 3-1 victory against Hyderabad FC guaranteed them a spot in the ISL playoffs. Mohammed Aimen provided two assists and one goal for Nihal Sudeesh and Daisuke Sakai.

G Sathiyan and Manika Batra lost to Choong Javen and Lyne Karen of Malaysia in the Czech Republic quarterfinals of the global mixed doubles table tennis qualifying competition for the Olympics. Malaysia emerged victorious, 11-9 11-9 11-9 7-11 11-8.
