Dua Lipa to Perform at the ODI World Cup 2023 Closing Ceremony at Narendra Modi Stadium

The ODI World Cup 2023 is coming to a finish, and the championship match will take place at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium on November 19. Prior to the match, renowned singer Dua Lipa will perform at an opening ceremony.
After defeating New Zealand in the semifinal match in Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium, Team India has already advanced to the championship game. Following the second semifinal match between Australia and South Africa at Eden Gardens in Kolkata, the second finalist will now be determined.

Dua’s most recent song, “Houdini,” which has a disco-inspired melody and incorporates a number of well-known dance movements, has become very popular on the internet. This song’s popularity has led to it becoming a “global chartbuster,” as it received 27 million views in only five days.

The World Cup’s official broadcasters, Star Sports, made the announcement on X, previously known as Twitter.

“DUALIPA’s pitch is flawless as they participate in the cricket world cup, fielding questions from @klrahul @ShubmanGill #KaneWilliamson @dazmitchell47 and discussing the song they will be performing at the closing ceremony of #CWC23.” the Star Sports tweet.

After Virat Kohli hit a record-breaking 50th century in ODIs and Shreyas Iyer blasted a second consecutive century, Mohammed Shami claimed his third five-wicket haul of the tournament with a brilliant 7-57. This helped India defeat New Zealand by 70 runs and advance to the ICC Men’s World Cup 2023 final.

In a thrilling semifinal match full of twists and turns, Shami delivered crucial blows and took the first four wickets to fall as India defeated a heroic century by Daryl Mitchell (134), who put up 181 runs for the third wicket with captain Kane Williamson (69). The Indians were seeking revenge for their 2019 loss in New Zealand at this same stage.
