Following CSK’s victory against MI on Sunday (April 14), star Indian bowler Jasprit Bumrah—who will play for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2024—was seen posing for a photo in the dressing room with the great MS Dhoni. At Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium, the scene of IPL 2024 match number 29, the reigning champions defeated the hosts by a margin of 20 runs.

Reviving the memories of that historic six, Dhoni hit three consecutive sixes off the opening three balls of the match to propel CSK to 206 runs for the loss of four wickets in 20 overs. Dhoni scored the famous six against Sri Lanka at Wankhede Stadium on April 2, 2011, to win the ODI World Cup title for India.

In the end, Dhoni’s incredible 20 runs off four balls proved to be the difference, as MI lost by 20 runs even though Rohit Sharma scored his second IPL century (105 runs from 63 balls). With four points from six games this year, MI is now in eighth place. The loss against CSK was the team’s fourth this season.

Following CSK’s thrilling victory against the Mumbai Indians, Bumrah was seen posing for a picture with Dhoni in the team’s changing room. A video of their endearing exchange quickly went viral online.

On Sunday, Bumrah was MI’s standout bowler once again. He failed to capture any wickets in his allotted four overs, but he also prevented any runs from being scored against him by the CSK batsmen.

His final stats during the game were 4-0-27-0.
Indian skipper Rohit started the Mumbai Indians’ innings and finished the game undefeated. MI was playing against CSK. After facing 63 balls in all, he scored 105 runs off of 11 fours and 5 sixes. His second IPL century helped him break the record and became the first MI player to hit two hundred in the lucrative competition.

On Sunday, Rohit became the sixth hitter overall and the first Indian batter to smash 500 sixes in Twenty20 cricket. To become a member of the club, he had to hit three sixes, and he accomplished this by hitting a maximum off of Ravindra Jadeja’s bowling.
