Future Batters Would Find It Very Difficult to Beat Virat Kohli’s Records: Sreesanth

Former Indian bowler S Sreesanth praised batting master Virat Kohli and said that it will be difficult for batters to surpass his records in the future. Arguably this generation’s finest batsman, Kohli, is one wicket away from matching Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 49 ODI hundreds. It may only take him a few games to get his 50th ODI ton, however, given his current form.

In the current ODI World Cup, Kohli has amassed 354 runs in six games, including three half-centuries and a century.

With 286 matches played and 13437 runs amassed, Kohli is expected to surpass Tendulkar’s ODI batting records.

Sreesanth said that although Tendulkar’s stats would improve, it won’t be simple for the 34-year-old to surpass Kohli’s records.

“While everyone is talking about Sachin Tendulkar’s records, Virat Kohli is going to smash the records for most runs in the World Cup as well as hundreds and fifty runs. them will be very difficult for future batters to surpass Virat Kohli’s records, even if someone could eventually break them, Sreesanth told Sportstkeeda.

The World Cup winner also discussed Kohli’s outstanding performance in the current mega-tournament and said how passionate and emotional he is about everything.

“You can simply go on discussing Virat. The nicest thing about him, particularly in this World Cup, is his hunger—which goes beyond simply running. He fields with a great deal of enthusiasm. Cricket is an emotion to the whole globe and a religion in India. He plays with such intensity. Virat’s style of play expresses himself in both sports and the arts,” he said.

Sreesanth also praised Kohli’s close friends and family for helping him maintain his positive outlook.

“Virat, please continue playing the way you do, and show his family and his whole circle a lot of respect. It’s incredible the type of reaction people are providing him,” Sreesanth said in closing.

The batting wizard will next be seen in action in Lucknow during the ODI World Cup matchup with England.
