INDW vs. ENGW Live Score Day 2: India Looks to Dominate England in Mumbai with Deepti Sharma at the Helm

India Women vs. England Women Live Score: Harmanpreet Kaur’s team will try to maintain their momentum when they play England on Friday at DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. They established a number of records on the first day of the one-and-only Test. On the second day of the current Test, Deepti Sharma, who came back unscathed at sixty, will head out to bat with Pooja Vastrakar to continue the innings at 410/7.

Earlier on Thursday, India Women got a fast start to register 410/7 in 94 overs at stumps on Day 1 of the one-off four-day Test against England Women. Debutantes Shubha Satheesh and Jemimah Rodrigues hit first half-centuries, as did Yastika Bhatia and Deepti Sharma.

In their first encounter, Shubha top-scored with 69, Jemimah followed closely with 68, and Yastika hit 66 off 88 balls in her third Test match.

In the third wicket partnership, Shubha and Jemimah brought India back from 47/2; in the fifth wicket partnership, Yastika and Harmanpreet took India to 190/4; in the seventh wicket partnership, Deepti Sharma and Sneha Rana helped India reach 400 runs for the third time against England.

At stumps, India Women had amassed 136/2 from 27 overs in the morning session, 125/2 off 29 overs in the afternoon, and 149/3 off 38 overs with Deepti Sharma at 60 not out and Pooja Vastrakar keeping her company at 4.

On a flat pitch that gave good bounce to both seamers and spinners, skipper Harmanpreet Kaur won the toss and decided to bat first. Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma hit a few boundaries, but they were both still in limited-overs mode as they repeatedly attempted to reach out for the ball.

India’s playing eleven is Sneh Rana, Shubha Satheesh, Pooja Vastrakar, Renuka Thakur Singh, Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Harmanpreet Kaur (c), Deepti Sharma, and Yastika Bhatia (w).

The England playing eleven are Sophie Ecclestone, Charlotte Dean, Kate Cross, Lauren Filer, Lauren Bell; Tammy Beaumont, Sophia Dunkley, Heather Knight (c), Nat Sciver-Brunt, Danielle Wyatt, Amy Jones (w).
