Dubai. Emirates Cricket Board said on Tuesday that it has received formal approval from the BCCI to host the Indian Premier League in the UAE from 19 September to 10 November . IPL chairman Brijesh Patel had told a day earlier that the board has got all the necessary approvals from the government. "We are very happy that we are going to host this tournament which is the most loved tournament of our favorite sport," said Sheikh Nahayana Mubarak Al Nahayane, head of the Emirates Cricket Board and cabinet minister.
The ECB was awaiting formal approval of the BCCI for preparations. Earlier in 2014 due to general elections in India some matches were held there. "This will be the biggest tournament in the UAE and our team will cooperate in every way to make it memorable," said Al Nahayan. The IPL matches will be held in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah. Teams will start departing from UAE after 20 August. After this, all the players and officials will have to stay in isolation for at least six days, after which they will go in an organic safe environment. He will be examined thrice in six days.
