Irfan Pathan BREAKS HIDDEN TALK About Hardik Pandya’s Contract Scandal at BCCI

Mumbai: The Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) has been in the news recently due to the cancellation of contracts for two of the game’s top players, Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer. Some people are perplexed as to how Hardik Pandya has managed to hold onto a “Grade A” contract despite the BCCI applying severe pressure. Former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan questioned the BCCI over how Hardik continued to be under contract, arguing that if he isn’t playing red-ball cricket, he ought to be playing white-ball cricket if he isn’t on national service.

In the event that he is unable to play for India, Hardik has promised the BCCI that he would play white-ball domestic cricket, according to an Indian Express story. And because of this, he has been able to maintain his “Grade A” contract. Due to his frequent visits to the NCA, Hardik also escaped punishment in this case.

Kishan and Iyer were left off the contract list, however, since they refused to participate in the Ranji Trophy even though they were healthy, disobeying the BCCI’s order to play domestic cricket while not representing the national side. Pandya, on the other hand, exclusively represents India in white-ball cricket. His last appearance for the state-side Baroda was in a Ranji Trophy match in 2018, although his final Test match for India was in 2017.

What made Pandya successful, in contrast to Kishan and Iyer, was his consistent reporting to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) when needed. The 30-year-old was recently seen in Vadodara training before making an appearance in the Mumbai corporate T20 competition.
