The Indian cricket team registered its biggest win in terms of runs in the history of Test cricket under the captaincy of Virat Kohli. Team India won the two-match Test series 1-0 and captured this series as well. The first match of this series which was played in Kanpur was a draw, but in the second match i.e. Mumbai Test match, Team India defeated the visiting team New Zealand by a huge margin of 372 runs in a unilateral manner.

In the year 2021, this was Team India's seventh victory, while Virat Kohli's name was recorded for winning the most matches in the World Test Championship. No Test captain in the world is ahead of Kohli in terms of winning the most matches in the World Test Championship.

Team India won the two-match Test series played between India and New Zealand 1-0 under the World Test Championship and India won the Mumbai Test match. This was India's 13th win in the Test Championship under the captaincy of Virat Kohli and he is at number one in the list of captains who have won the most matches in this tournament. Virat Kohli is the captain who has won the most matches in the World Test Championship, while the captains who have won the most matches in other ICC events i.e. ODI World Cup, Champions Trophy and T20 World Cup are Ricky Ponting, Ricky Ponting and Mahendra Singh Dhoni. That is, the record of winning the most matches as a captain in the ODI World Cup and Champions Trophy is recorded in the name of Ponting, while in the T20 World Cup this record is recorded in the name of Dhoni.

Former Under-19 World Cup winning captain Unmukt Chand on Tuesday became the first Indian cricketer to feature in Australia's Big Bash T20 League (BBL) with his Melbourne Renegades debut. A 28-year-old right-handed batsman, Unmukt made his BBL debut against Hobart Hurricanes. The Renegades tweeted with a picture of him in the team jersey, 'Naya color aapko jach raha hai Unmukt Chand.'

India won the 2012 ICC Under-19 World Cup in Australia under the captaincy of Unmukt Chand. He retired from all forms of Indian cricket in August last year, making him eligible to play the league overseas. He also led the India-A team after the success of the Under-19 World Cup, but could never be a part of the senior team. Unmukt Chand's early cricket career was very good, but later his performance was not so special, due to which he would have got a chance to play in the Indian team. Due to not getting a chance in the Indian team, he retired from Indian cricket from all formats so that he could get a chance to play abroad. 

Unmukt Chand played in Indian domestic cricket while he also got a chance to play for many teams in IPL. In domestic cricket, he represented Delhi, while in IPL he was seen playing with teams like Mumbai and Rajasthan. Talking about his first-class cricket career, he scored 3379 runs in 67 matches at an average of 31.57 and took 77 catches. At the same time, he scored 4505 runs in 120 first-class matches at an average of 41.33 and took 52 catches and 4 stumpings behind the wickets. At the same time, he scored 1571 runs in 78 T20 matches. He has scored 8 centuries in first class matches, 7 in List A and 3 centuries in T20.
