One week after the ugly ‘public outburst’ viral video, Sanjiv Goenka and KL Rahul give each other a warm hug | PICS

It appears that everything is going well in the Lucknow Super Giants camp. A week after LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka’s angry video of captain KL Rahul went viral, Goenka and Rahul were spotted giving each other a hug. This happened after Goenka hosted a special dinner for the team in Delhi ahead of LSG’s penultimate IPL 2024 league match against the Delhi Capitals.

Goenka found himself at the center of attention during Sunrisers Hyderabad’s 10-wicket victory against LSG in Hyderabad on May 8, when his impassioned conversation with Rahul was seen as the skipper being publicly humiliated. LSG bowlers were called to task by SRH openers Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma, who scorched the mark in less than 10 overs, despite posting 165/4 in their allocated 20 overs. The defeat had an impact on LSG’s net run rate. Although the club captained by KL Rahul is still vying for a berth in the IPL 2024 playoffs, their NRR, which is the lowest of all teams, will not help them in the event that playoff qualification depends on it.

Following the event, Goenka was the focus of many guns and his actions were deemed needless, giving former cricket players and fans a field day. The LSG camp’s silence only served to exacerbate the matter. A few days later, there were rumors that KL Rahul would probably give up his leadership for the duration of the IPL 2024 and that LSG wouldn’t likely keep Rahul until the IPL 2025 action, which will take place later this year.

Sanjiv Goenka did not hesitate to cut MS Dhoni off. Does KL Rahul have the same destiny?

Nevertheless, pictures circulated by social media influencers now depict Goenka and Rahul cuddling next to each other. In an interview with TOI, LSG coach Justin Langer detailed the specifics of the aforementioned chat. According to the 53-year-old, although it may have seemed “aggressive,” it was really rather mild.

“The game didn’t go exactly as planned. It was a catastrophe, in actuality. What happened when Mr. Goenka questioned KL when he entered the field after the game? Our discussed strategy hasn’t proven to be effective. Now, what should we do? We then had a conversation about it. Nobody could hear what was said because the sound was off. Although it seemed rather hostile, Langer noted, “it was actually fairly tame.”
