Record for the SRH IPL Playoffs: Most Runs, Most Wickets, Highest Team Total, and More

For the eighth time in franchise history, Sunrisers Hyderabad are expected to make an appearance in the IPL playoffs. The Kolkata Knight Riders, led by Pat Cummins, will take on SRH in Qualifier 1 at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium on Tuesday. After a thrilling conclusion to the league stage, SRH secured their top-two position on the last day. They had a better net run rate (+0.414) but ended up with the same number of points (17) as the Rajasthan Royals, who finished in third place.

Since 2013, SRH has participated in the IPL. The franchise from Hyderabad stormed into the competition. In their first season, they made it to the playoffs; however, they were defeated by the Rajasthan Royals in the elimination round.

In 2016, SRH finished in the top four once again. This time, they defeated the now-defunct Gujarat Lions to go to the final after defeating KKR in the eliminator. In the summit match, SRH maintained their dominance and defeated Royal Challengers Bengaluru by eight runs to win the championship.

In 2018, SRH secured their spot in the IPL final for the second time; however, they suffered a heartbreaking eight-wicket loss to the Chennai Super Kings. The last time SRH participated in the IPL playoffs was in 2020, when they fell to the Delhi Capitals in the second qualifying round.

This time around, SRH will be motivated to capture their second IPL crown.
