Ronaldo's departure will not distract the team's focus: Santos
Cristiano Ronaldo parted ways with Manchester United days before Portugal's first match against Ghana at the Qatar World Cup. Head coach Fernando Santos insisted that Ronaldo's departure would not distract the team. Santos said in the pre-game press conference on Wednesday that Ronaldo was not discussed in the team after his departure.

"Santos said that Team Ghana is in good shape and well prepared, where the pressure will be on our players during the game," Xinhua reported.

“Ghana is a very well-organized team. The team showed this against Switzerland.

"I believe we have the ability to fight for this goal," Santos said, indicating his ambition and desire to win the World Cup. We want to give great happiness to the Portuguese people.

Portugal will face Ghana in Group H on Thursday.
