Speaking to James Anderson before of the India Tour, former England bowler Steven Finn said, “He is Superhuman…Someone Who Will Be Important to England.”

Former England teammate and fast bowler Steven Finn believes that Jimmy Anderson, who is a timeless and unwavering asset, will continue to lead England’s bowling attack.

Jimmy is beyond human. He has been shocking people with his retirement for the last seven years or more, according to Finn.

Even if he didn’t have the best summer last year, we know that he wouldn’t be traveling around India unless he really believed he could make a difference.

“I believe that a focused and well-managed Jimmy Anderson will be valuable to England, particularly in maximizing the reverse swing as he is a complete master at it.”

The anthill that England faces is not just any anthill. Since Alastair Cook’s team’s historic victory over ten years ago, India hasn’t lost a home Test series, so the visitors will really have a mountain to climb.

The England team is currently training in Abu Dhabi under conditions that mimic those of India. They will travel to Hyderabad on January 21 for the first Test match, and Anderson, being a seasoned strike bowler, is expected to be a key player in helping bowlers like Ollie Robinson adjust to the difficult conditions in India.

It’s also important to consider the significance of this trip on the English team’s famed “Bazball” style to cricket.

It will be difficult to use the subcontinental conditions to play England’s hyper-aggressive and attacking style of cricket throughout the five-match series, which will be vital for both teams in the World Test Championship.

However, Finn thinks that England may give India difficulties if they can deploy their Bazball strategy when it’s appropriate.

“I think you can become unstuck if you go 100% aggressive from the start,” he said. However, England could benefit if you give yourself a chance and then put more pressure on India.

India and England will play five Test matches starting on January 25. The first Test will be held in Hyderabad.
