Sri Lanka scores their lowest total ever against India in a one-day international in the Asia Cup final

At the R. Premadasa stadium in Colombo on Sunday, Indian quick Mohammed Siraj was at the top of his game as he picked up 6 wickets for 21 runs to bowl out Sri Lanka for only 50 runs in the first innings. Notably, this is their lowest score against India in this style.

Against India in Thiruvananthapuram earlier this year, Sri Lanka recorded their lowest score (73) ever.

In contrast to Jasprit Bumrah, who only managed one wicket throughout the innings, all-rounder Hardik Pandya took 3 wickets in addition to Siraj’s.

After winning the toss, Sri Lanka found themselves in an embarrassing position when they lost their first six wickets for just 12 runs. In only 15.2 overs, their innings was over. Sri Lanka’s best scorer, Kusal Mendis, with 17 runs off 34 balls.
