Supporters React When Kamran Akmal Claims Babar Azam Can Beat Virat Kohli’s Record for 50 ODI Centuries

Former Pakistani cricketer Kamran Akmal said that Babar Azam might surpass the record held by the top Indian player, Virat Kohli, only days after the latter surpassed the milestone of 50 ODI centuries. Speaking on the Pakistani news network “ARY News,” Akmal said that Babar might be the player to surpass the record of 50 ODI hundreds, along with the top three hitters.

Shubman Gill, the Indian opener, might also attempt to break the record of 50 ODI hundreds, the former Pakistani star said.

“Third place on the list is achieved by 50 hundred ka. Middle-order batsmen are not worth mentioning. Azam, Hamare paas, hai vo karsakta hai. I am among the top three. Shubman Gill said, “Unke paas abhi hai, vo peeche lag sakta hai is record ke.” This means that the middle order cannot break the record of 50 ODI hundreds; only the top three batsmen can. Babar Azam is here, and he can smash it. Shubman Gill, who may pursue the record, is available to them,” Akmal said on ARY News.

While some cricket fans thought Babar might really get 50 hundreds in a one-day match, others responded delightfully on social media, making fun of both Kamran Akmal and Babar. View the responses here:

In ODI cricket, Kohli made history by surpassing Sachin Tendulkar to become the first player to reach 50 hundreds. After a little time, Virat made a move that was sure to steal the show: he bowed to Sachin, who was watching the star batter smash his record from the stands. In the first semi-final, Virat scored 117 off 113 balls against New Zealand. Throughout his knock, there were two sixes and nine fours.

The 35-year-old has amassed 691 runs at an average of 115.16 and a strike rate of above 89 in India’s ten tournament matches. His highest rating is 117. Virat is the tournament’s top run scorer with three hundreds and five fifties in ten innings. The former captain of India has surpassed Sachin’s record of 673 runs from the 2003 edition of the Cricket World Cup to register the most runs in a World Cup.
