The Hockey World Cup trophy strongly welcomed in Ispatanchal, India will win slogans

Keeping enough time to welcome the Hockey World Cup trophy, the Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) management organized a reception at Ispatanchal on 14th January. The program was spectacular and the entire Ispatanchal gathered to welcome the World Cup. RSP Director Incharge Atanu Bhowmik received the trophy in the morning at an attractive function organized at Shilpa Konark Complex, opposite the main gate of the steel plant. Raghunathpalli MLA Subrata Tarai, Executive Director (Works), SR Suryavanshi, Executive Director (Personnel & Administration) PK Satpathy, Executive Director (Medical & Health), Dr. BK Hota, Chief General Manager-in-Charge (Mines) and PK Rath, In-charge, Chief General Manager-in-Charge (Finance & Accounts), AK Behuria, several other Chief General Managers and Senior Officers, Trade Unions and Executive Association representatives as well as a large number of employees from across the plant were present to receive the trophy.

The trophy was received amidst the tune of the national anthem. The trophy was placed in a lavishly decorated open van, which was taken to various places in the steel city for public viewing. The visit began with a scintillating Odissi and folk dance performance in front of the main gate of the plant. The convoy carrying the trophy circumambulated the steel city with spectacular events organized at special places passing through the city. A tableau decorated with tribal dance troupes enhanced the beauty of the convoy. Over 3,000 children participated: Over 3,000 children from various schools of steel city participated in the carnival and welcomed the trophy with great enthusiasm. Various community organizations, market committees, and socio-cultural organizations also participated in the ceremony to welcome the trophy. The tunes of the Hockey Anthem kept the atmosphere festive and lively throughout the entire city tour of the trophy.

Atanu Bhowmik and ADM, Rourkela Dr. Shubhankar Mohapatra attended the function organized at National Flag Complex Sector-6 and accompanied the trophy convoy for some distance. Indira Gandhi Park, Biju Patnaik Chowk, Biju Patnaik Hockey Stadium, Sector-6, Kendriya Vidyalaya Chowk, Sector-6, Sector- 7/17 Chowk, Sector-8 Chowk, Civic Centre, VIP Road, Sector-20, CISF Barracks Special arrangements were made to warmly welcome the trophy.
