Kolkata. Three cricketers including Abhishek Raman from East Bengal and Hrithik Chatterjee from Mohun Bagan were found covid-19 positive on Friday ahead of the Bengal T20 Challenge . Apart from Raman and Hrithik, Deep Chatterjee of Calcutta Customs and anti-corruption officer Partha Pratim Sen have been found positive.
Six clubs, including Mohun Bagan and East Bengal, will take part in the tournament to be held from November 24 to December 10 in a biologically safe environment. With this, cricket will return to Eden Gardens after the covid-19 lockdown. "One day before arriving at the hotel, 142 people were tested Kovid-19, in which four people came positive," the Bengal Cricket Association (CAB) said in a statement. They have been sent to the medical team of the cab for treatment.
