WTC Final: Mohammed Siraj, Rahul Dravid, Rohit Sharma, and “Superstar” Shubman Gill Open Up

Shubman Gill, India’s newest batting sensation, has become well-known in all three types of the game in the past 12 months. The 23-year-old broke the record for an ODI double-century against New Zealand at the beginning of the year and then had an outstanding Indian Premier League season, scoring three centuries and 890 runs.

Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Rahul Dravid, Mohammed Siraj, Andrew McDonald, and Cameron Green discussed Shubman in a video package that the ICC placed on the World Test Championship website.

There is so much promise in Shubman Gill. The next great thing for Indian cricket, without a doubt,” said Rohit Sharma, the team’s captain.

very gifted. We’ll have our job cut out for us. He is the newest star on the rise, and ideally it will take him a little longer to become that star, according to Australia coach Andrew McDonald.

“I saw him during the 2018 World Cup when he was a young teenager. He was clearly destined to be a very outstanding player for India, according to India’s coach Rahul Dravid.

“Everyone is aware of his talent. is now India’s face,” remarked Cameron Green.

“He has all the qualities necessary for success at this level. I only hope he keeps up his strong recent form,” Rohit said.

“From what I understand and from what he has told me, he admired my career as I rose through the levels and often talks to me about the game. And while titles like “King” and “Prince” and other such titles are fantastic for the public and spectators to see, I believe that the role of any senior player is to help groom young players and impart to them the wisdom that you have gained throughout your career so that they can manage their ups and downs effectively. I hope that he continues to play this well in this test match as well because he is a nice young man, remarked Virat Kohli.

“My dad, who loves cricket, is essentially where it all started. And I was simply a little child who was enthralled by my father. What is it about which he is so, well, thrilled. And like many crazy Indian families, we had cricket equipment at home, so when I was three years old, I simply naturally took it up and began playing. A three-year-old who had probably just begun running was playing cricket, and my dad was clearly thrilled and enthusiastic about it. it was how it all began for me. solely from there. That was something he realized. That may be something, I guess,” said Shubman Gill.

He has a ton of free time. While most people smash the bouncer at random, he smacks it precisely straight to midwicket. I definitely predicted that he would become a celebrity back then, and it seems that he has an excess of time. It seems amazing that we both made our test debuts at the same time. I feel tremendous satisfaction and happiness for one of your teammates when they play extraordinarily well,” stated Mohammed Siraj.

Shubman has improved significantly during the last 12 months. He has always had a really unique skill. But I believe that everything has come together during the last year. I believe that he has had some ups and downs. He’s suffered a few wounds. He has joined and left the team. In the test team or the one-day side, he hasn’t always been a foregone conclusion. But I believe that a lot of it has come together brilliantly over the past 14 to 16 months, allowing us to see the best in him and a player of the highest caliber. And hopefully Shubman has many more successful years ahead for India,” Dravid said.
