14 Receive a Life Sentence in Connection With the Murder of an Ex-BJP MLA

14 individuals were given life sentences by a local court in this area on Monday for the murder of former Iglas MLA Malkhan Singh and his bodyguard.
Tejveer Singh, the primary defendant and former zila panchayat chairman, was also fined 1.50 lakh rupees by District and Sessions Judge Pankaj Kumar Singh.
From 1996 until 2002, Malkhan Singh served as the BJP's assembly representative for the Iglas district.
Malkhan Singh, according to assistant district attorney Manu Raj Bahadur, was with his friends on March 20, 2006, outside of his home when Tejveer Singh arrived with 14–15 other men and shot the MLA and his bodyguard to death.
Dalveer Singh, the older brother of Malkhan Singh and a witness, filed a complaint and the investigation was opened. In 2008, the situation was moved to Bulandshahr in accordance with the Allahabad High Court's directives.
Two of the 18 accused have passed away, while two are still at large.
