A massive textile park will be built in Malihabad

A massive textile park called Sant Kabir PM Mitra Textile and Apparel Park Ltd will be built between Lucknow and Hardoi with the goal of turning Uttar Pradesh into a textile centre.

The massive textile park complex, which will be erected in Lucknow's Attari village in the Mall block of the Malihabad tehsil, would serve as the major hub for all operations related to the textile sector taking place in the state's 15 districts, a government spokesperson said on Monday.

He said chikankari and zari-zardozi of Lucknow, handloom of Hardoi and Barabanki, carpet of Sitapur, zari-zardozi of Unnao, hosiery and textile of Kanpur, block printing and zari-zardozi of Farrukhabad, zari-zardozi of Shahjahanpur, handloom industry of Ambedkar Nagar, Azamgarh, Gorakhpur and Rampur, silk, handloom and textile clusters of Mau and Varanasi and apparel clusters of Gautam Buddha Nagar will be set up in a single complex.

The huge textile park, according to the statement, would gain the most from improved road, rail, air, and water connections in UP.

"The Yogi Adityanath administration has already had a management evaluation of solid waste and water in the massive textile park completed. According to the study, there is enough water accessible since there is ground water below 40 feet in the textile park region. Also, the Gomti River is 10 km away from us from an overhead perspective. Moreover, a canal runs directly adjacent to the park. On the other side, a waste to energy plant is situated 40 km away at Shivri village, close to Mohan road, according to the assessment done for municipal and solid waste management. In this location, electricity supply is already provided by 33 kVA and 11 kVA lines. A 400 kVA sub-station at Jhetha would also be highly beneficial for the massive textile park in addition to this. Within 40 kilometres of the park, there are no environmentally sensitive or protected areas, the official said.
