Akhilesh Yadav: BJP will be overthrown for abusing government institutions

Akhilesh Yadav, the leader of the Samajwadi Party, said on Sunday that the BJP will lose political support in the coming days "exactly as the Congress" for "misusing" government organisations against opposition parties.
Yadav pushed for the caste census as well, claiming that it will be a crucial topic in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
"Previously, the Congress mishandled government agencies; now, the BJP does the same. The Congress has come to an end. He said at a news conference here that the BJP will also suffer a similar fate.
He said that the Congress "backtracked" on its vow to undertake a caste census during the UPA-2 administration.
"We want the caste census to be conducted by the BJP-led Central Government. Several leaders have pushed for it. Yet, much like the Congress, the saffron party is not enthusiastic about holding it, Yadav added.
When asked about the projected Opposition front's structure ahead of the 2024 general election, Yadav said that it wouldn't be made public.
The opposition front's strategy won't be disclosed; defeating the BJP is the main objective, he added.
