There has been a major road accident in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh. Seven pilgrims died in the accident. While 12 people have been injured. Many of the injured are in critical condition. The injured have been admitted to hospital.

According to the information, this major accident happened on the Bahraich-Lakhimpur Kheri highway on Sunday morning. The truck and the tempo traveler collided head-on on the Bahraich-Lakhimpur road. In the accident, five people died tragically on the spot itself, while two people died in the hospital. 12 people are injured in the accident. The injured have been sent to the district hospital for treatment, while the body has been taken into custody and sent for post-mortem.

Motipur SHO Mukesh Singh said that information was received that a truck and a tempo traveler collided head-on near Nainiha located on the Bahraich-Lakhimpur road. The tempo traveler was blown away due to the intensification of the collision. Five bodies have been pulled out. The injured have been sent to the district hospital for treatment. Two people died in the hospital. The District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police have reached the spot.
