CM Yogi visits Gonda-Balrampur districts, directs strict monitoring on Nepal border

Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed the law and order situation of Balrampur district on Saturday and said that the Nepal border of the district should be closely monitored. No mafia should be allowed to flourish in the district. Taking strong action against the mafia, action should be taken to seize their property. He visited Gonda and Balrampur districts on Saturday and got detailed information about the work being done by the officials there. According to a government statement, the Chief Minister conducted an aerial and terrestrial inspection of the flood works being carried out at Bansgaon, a sensitive site on the Elgin Charasdi embankment of Gonda. He also gave instructions to complete the related works soon.

He got detailed information regarding the work being done by the officers and instructed to complete all the works in a timely manner in a quality manner. Regarding the flood prevention works, the irrigation department informed that the project works are being carried out rapidly despite the lockdown implemented due to the Kovid-19 epidemic. Asked by the Chief Minister in how many days the work will be completed, the Executive Engineer, Flood Block Gonda was informed that the work will be completed within the next 15 days. 

Chief Minister Yogi also got information about the dredging work being carried out in the Ghaghra river (silt removal). Executive Engineer Mechanical informed the Chief Minister that dredging works are being done to protect the bonds, which will yield positive results soon. The Chief Minister instructed the concerned officers to complete all the works in a quality manner at the earliest. After this, the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed the development works and law and order in Balrampur district, including the work being done in connection with Kovid-19. 

Reviewing the law and order, he said that the Nepal border adjoining Balrampur district should be closely monitored. No mafia should be allowed to flourish in the district. Taking strong action against the mafia, action should be taken to seize their property. He directed to make L-2 hospital in the district functional. The Chief Minister said that everyone should get ration during the distribution of food grains and it should be ensured that no person is hungry. Action should be taken to provide employment to the laborers in the state.
