Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Transport Dayashankar Singh took stock of the roadways bus station located in the city late on Tuesday evening. Along with renovating the roadways bus station, he assured to name the bus stand after the freedom fighter. Told that two electric buses on roadways will be operated from Chakia directly to Lucknow. Its survey work has been completed. Said that an action plan has been prepared to further improve the roadways bus service. Efforts are being made to connect all the towns and tehsils of the state directly to the district headquarters by roadways bus service. New roadways buses will also be operated on other routes including district headquarters.
The government is determined to provide easy travel facilities to passengers. MLA Kailash Acharya, while demanding restoration of Chakia Roadways bus station, said that this station is important not only for the assembly but also for the district. The Minister assured that along with beautification of Chakia Roadways Bus Station on priority, facilities would be provided soon. On the allegation of the city and the people of the area ignoring the standard in the repair work being done at the roadways bus station, he said that after conducting an inquiry, action would be taken against the executive body. Negligence in quality in repair work will never be tolerated. MLA Kailash Kharwar handed over a leaflet from Chakia to Lucknow, Varanasi, Chandauli, and Son and to operate an adequate number of roadways buses in rural areas. State Working Committee member Surendra Singh, Block Chief Shambhunath Singh Yadav, Dr. Keshav Murti Patel, Umashankar Singh, Shyam Ji Singh, Rajiv Pathak, Kailash Prasad Jaiswal, Gyan Prakash Gupta, etc. welcomed the Minister of State with warmth.
