Varanasi: The wait for corona vaccination is about to end. The first batch of vaccine arrived at Babatpur Airport on Wednesday afternoon. District administration-health department officials were present from here. One lakh 85 thousand dose corona vaccine has reached Banaras for four divisions, which have been kept safe in the Divisional Ware House of the State Drug Store set up in the Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay State District Hospital under the Corona vaccination protocol. From here the vaccine will be sent to Varanasi and its adjoining districts.

So many people will get vaccinated

In this regard, Dr. SK Upadhyay, Additional Director Medical and Health, Varanasi Division said that vaccination of Corona is proposed from January 16 all over the country. Vaccination work will also start in Banaras mandal from 16 January. The first batch of vaccine for this vaccination has arrived in Varanasi from Mumbai today. Under the Corona Vaccination Protocol, she is housed in a vaccine ware house in the Banaras Division.

Dr. SK Upadhyay informed that for the first phase, a total of one lakh 85 thousand doses of Varanasi mandal, Azamgarh mandal, Mirzapur mandal and Prayagraj mandal have been kept in ware houses made in Varanasi, which will be sent from here to mandal. Joint Director Dr. Anshu Singh was present at the Regional Center on the instructions of Additional Director of Health.

These people will first get vaccinated

A district-wise box will be prepared at the regional center itself. CMO doctor VB Singh said that vaccination will reach 30 vaccination centers in the district from the cold chain center itself a day before. Additional Director of Medical and Health informed that the corona vaccine will be given to first-line front-line corona warriors medical personnel. This includes private and government medical personnel as well as Anganwadi and Asha Bahuis as well as medical and nursing students who have served in the Corona period.

Yogi said that special programs will be organized by the state government during the centenary year of Chauri Chaura from February 4, 2021 to February 4, 2022.
