Government committed to revere Ayodhya's ancient glory: Yogi

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said that keeping in mind the importance of Ayodhya Dham, the Central and State Government are committed to be distinguished according to its ancient glory and development works are being done on a large scale. The Chief Minister was watching the presentation of works to be done in connection with integrated tourism development of Ayodhya Dham in Lok Bhawan. He has instructed to work expeditiously to give impetus to development activities in Ayodhya Dham. He said that the city of Ayodhya should be developed in such a way that the people coming here can get the level facilities. Roads should be widened to facilitate smooth transportation. He said that all the works of development of Ayodhya should be done in a phased manner after making a plan.
The Chief Minister said that an effective and uninterrupted network of roads should be prepared for the convenience of visitors reaching Ayodhya from different directions. All public amenities like drinking water, toilets etc. should be ensured on both sides of the roads. Also, for the convenience of visitors coming from their vehicles, multi-level parking should be constructed at various places, so that people do not park vehicles on the road. He said that large bus stands should be made for parking of buses etc. He said that Ayodhya Dham is a very important place in the world map. There are immense possibilities of tourism here. Under this, there are also employment opportunities at every level. He said that a system of trained guides should be ensured for tourists to visit Ayodhya Dham. He said that fast development work should be done for Bharat Kund, Surya Kund and Nandi village.
In the ongoing dialogue meeting, the Chief Minister was apprised that the redevelopment and beautification of Ghats in Ayodhya and the development of the Samadhi Sthal of Mahant Ramchandra Das Paramahams are being done. He was also informed that Muktidham is being constructed near Ramghat station. The Chief Minister directed that all the works related to Charasi Kosi Parikrama Marg should be done at a rapid pace, so that the devotees should not face any problem in the circumambulation.
He said that all tourism related works should also be completed within the stipulated time frame in Shri Makhauda Dham, Basti district. Yogi directed the authorities to develop Ayodhya as Solar City. While giving instructions to complete the beautification works in Ayodhya at a rapid pace, he said that work in this regard should be done by the Department of Housing, City Development, Religious Affairs and Public Works by establishing inter-departmental coordination.
He instructed the officials that underground cabling should be arranged in Ayodhya so that the wires do not hang around. He also gave instructions to ensure good street lighting. He also instructed that visitors coming to Ayodhya should be provided the facility of traffic through electric carts inside the city. Principal Secretary Tourism and Culture Mukesh Meshram made a presentation to the Chief Minister. On this occasion, Water Power Minister Dr. Mahendra Singh, Minister of State for Tourism and Culture (Independent Charge) Neelkanth Tiwari, Chief Secretary RK Tiwari, Additional Chief Secretary Home Avnish Kumar Awasthi, Additional Chief Secretary Chief Minister SP Goyal, Principal Secretary Chief Minister and Information Sanjay Prasad. , Director General of Tourism NG Ravi Kumar, Secretary Chief Minister Alok Kumar and other senior officials were present.
