On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of a university in Aligarh, keeping a forgotten hero ahead. Congratulating the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh on this occasion, he said, “The creation of a university in the name of such an immortal son of Mother Bharati is a true tribute to him. Many congratulations to Yogi ji and his team." Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh, born in the Mursan town of Aligarh, was a great freedom fighter. He was a Jat king, who fought for independence after being in exile for 32 years. He was also the President in the interim government formed in Kabul, Afghanistan in 1915. After independence, in 1957, Raja Mahendra Singh was also elected Lok Sabha member from Mathura. When the university was announced in the name of this great king of Aligarh, there was a wave of happiness among the people.
Attempts to appease Jats and Muslims
Along with this, Prime Minister Modi laid the foundation for the elections going to be held in Uttar Pradesh in 2022. It is believed that in the 2022 UP elections, the path to power will go through the western belt. This time Rakesh Tikait's farmer movement has created turmoil in the Jats area, where PM Modi reached and hit many targets with one arrow. The Prime Minister praised Chaudhary Charan Singh, the messiah of Jats and farmers there. Along with this, he also talked about giving support to small farmers, who are 80 percent in UP. Apart from this, Prime Minister Modi also tried to pacify Muslims by taking the name of Aligarh's lock and Muslim mercy. Raising the issue of security, he also raised the issue of migration in western UP before 2017.
On one hand, the Yogi government laid the foundation stone of the university in Aligarh today, while the Samajwadi Party raised the issue of demolition of the house in Ayodhya. Actually, all parties know that the 2022 UP election will be special in many ways. So the accusations and counter-accusations will continue. The public will have to listen to all these arguments and choose the right party, so that UP moves forward on the path of development.
