Padma Vibhushan Pandit Chhannulal Mishra's daughter dies due to corona, family members accuse hospital of negligence

Padma Vibhushan Pandit Chhannulal Mishra's daughter Sangeeta has died due to Kovid-19. His younger daughter has now accused the hospital of negligence. Pandit Chhannulal Mishra was the proponent of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

The wife of renowned Indian classical singer Pandit Chhannulal Mishra had recently passed away due to Kovid-19 and now his daughter Sangeeta also died due to Kovid-19.

After the death of his sister, Pandit Mishra's younger daughter Namrata reached the private hospital and accused the management of negligence and extortion. He created a ruckus in the hospital premises over the death of his sister.

Hospital charged with negligence

On 26 April, 76-year-old Manorama Mishra, wife of Pandit Chhannulal Mishra, died due to Kovid in a private hospital in Gurdham area of Varanasi. On 1 May, Pandit Chhannulal's elder daughter Sangeeta also died in a Kovid hospital in the plains.

Two days after Sangeeta's death, the hospital allegedly failed to provide any details on records or CCTV footage related to the patient's death. For this reason, the younger daughter reached the hospital premises seeking answers.

Complaint filed against the hospital

Namrata has accused the hospital of negligence and extortion. The debate went on for about an hour in the hospital. The police, who reached the spot, asked Namrata and the family to file a police complaint instead of creating a ruckus. He then lodged a complaint against Medwin Hospital.

Namrata has said that her sister Sangeeta was admitted to Medwin Hospital. For this, he paid 1.5 lakh rupees. He was vomiting and also had fever. Later her reports revealed that she had a corona.

Condition was improving

He said that the hospital had promised to show CCTV footage of Sangeeta. The hospital also said that his condition is improving and he is being given regular food. Later on 29 April, the family was told that Sangeeta's condition is serious. When the family reached the hospital, they were informed of his death.

He said that after pleading several times, Sangeeta's body was allowed to be seen. It was also not told what had happened to him all of a sudden. The family has now demanded an inquiry into the death and asked for CCTV footage of the hospital, while the sister alleged that Sangeeta was murdered.
