'Ram temple construction to be completed in 3 years, will cost around Rs 1,100 crore'

Mumbai / Ayodhya: An important official of the Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Nyas has said that the construction work of the grand Ram temple in Ayodhya will be completed in about three years and is expected to cost more than Rs 1,100 crore. Trust treasurer Swami Govind Dev Giri Maharaj said, "The construction of the main temple will be completed in three-and-a-half years and is expected to cost Rs 300-400 crore." Development of the entire 70 acres of land is likely to cost more than Rs 1,100 crore. ''
He said that he has reached this estimate of cost after consulting with the experts associated with the Ram temple construction project. Talking to ABP Manjha Marathi TV channel, he said that the trust has not yet made any official statement on the cost of temple construction. He said, "It was possible for us (for temple construction) to collect money from some corporate. Some (corporate) families came to us, requested that the design of the temple be handed over to them and they had assured that they would complete the temple project, but I politely declined them. ''
When asked about the criticism by some circles over the BJP's campaign for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections keeping the Ram temple construction in mind, he said, "People have eyeglasses like , They see the same. Maharaj went to Rashtrapati Bhavan last week and received a donation of Rs 5,00,100 from President Ramnath Kovind for the construction of the temple.
