Seven MLAs and one MP still closed the sugar mill of Kaptanganj

The district known as the sugar bowl is famous for sugar mills and sugar production. There, gradually sugar mills from corporations to the private sector are getting closed. Kaptanganj sugar mill has also been in the same condition due to closure. The owners have expressed their inability to run the sugar mill. In the current government with seven MLAs and one MP from the ruling party, the closure of the sugar mill in this way by imposing long arrears on the farmers is very sad for the farmers.

The efforts of the leaders of the opposition and the ruling party also did not work. Today, farmers, laborers, and mill workers associated with this sugar mill are facing a lot of difficulties. In Kushinagar district, the sugar mills of Padrauna, Kathkuia, Ramkola Khaitan, and Laxmiganj have closed down decades ago. Only private-sector sugar mills are crushing. Kaptanganj's private-sector sugar mill was also crushing sugarcane in large areas. The condition of the sugar mill has worsened since last season. The sugar mill could not run for the entire season due to the less availability of sugarcane. Presently the sugar mill owes a huge amount of sugarcane price to the farmers.

Radheshyam Singh has also given a picket
Farmer leader and former minister of state Radheshyam Singh had organized a sit-in demonstration in Kaptanganj for the running of the Kaptanganj sugar mill and payment of outstanding sugarcane price. But following the dictatorial attitude of the administration, arrested from the picket site and kept in the police station Taryasujan, located at the eastern end of the district, for the whole day. Ignoring their demand, the administration even filed a case against them.

The suggestion of BJP leader and former MLA
BJP leader and former MLA Madan Govind Rao have written a letter to the Chief Minister of the state regarding the situation arising out of the owners expressing their inability to run the Kaptanganj sugar mill in the current crushing season. The former MLA informed the state government through a letter that Kanodia Sugar Mills Limited Kaptanganj sugar mill is a sugar mill with a crushing capacity of about sixty thousand quintals per day and about five-six hundred employees directly and thousands of farmers (sugarcane farmers). )'s economic future is linked to the said sugar mill, and the said sugar mill has also contributed to the circulation of small and big shops.

Due to the closure of the sugar mill, there is sure to be an adverse effect on the development, business, and commercial and social activities of Kaptanganj town and the countryside. Sugarcane farmers and committees owe more than fifty crore rupees on the sugar mill. In the event of the closure of the sugar mill, the agricultural farmers will be badly affected. The management has violated the government's instructions, license conditions, labor law, and sugarcane purchase control orders by manipulating sugarcane price payments and closing sugar mills.

For the benefit of sugarcane farmers and sugar mill workers and wider public peace, alternative measures should be considered to run the sugar mill by immediately acquiring the said sugar mill, the sugar mill can also be run with the joint share contribution of sugarcane farmers, employees and the state government. Pipraich and Kaptanganj can also be kept under the same management, if the sugar mill is in bifer then talks should be held with the central government as necessary to remove it.

The former MLA has expressed the hope that under the guidance of the Chief Minister, the Department of Sugarcane and Sugar Industry will make meaningful efforts to run the sugar mill by talking to the local farmers, and sugar mill employees, as well as sending the sugarcane allotted to Kaptanganj sugar mill to other sugar mills. Arrangements should be made. The former MLA sent a copy of the letter to Chief Secretary U.P. Has also been sent to Government and the Additional Chief Secretary Sugar Industry and Sugarcane Development
