Target to register 9.26 lakh workers by December

 The Government of India has set a target of registration of 9 lakh 26 thousand 927 workers to provide social security to the unorganized workers of the district and to equip them with schemes. Under this, the Workers Social Security Board has been constituted under the leadership of the District Magistrate. By campaigning on a war footing, this committee will in any case be engaged in completing the target by December. Under this, people have been connected from village to block and district headquarters. Under this, registration of 45 types of workers will be done on the e-shram portal. The objective of e-shram portal is to create a national database with a single base for all unorganized workers including construction workers, migrant workers, platform workers, hawkers, domestic, agricultural workers etc. 53 till now, 213 workers have been registered online. There is also an integration of social security schemes run by the Ministry of Labor and Employment and schemes run by other ministries for the unorganized workers.

The President includes District Magistrate, Secretary Assistant Labor Commissioner, Member CDO. Apart from this, EO of Municipality, Nagar Panchayat, District Information Department Officer, all BDO, Industries General Manager, District Social Welfare Officer, District Development Officer, District School Inspector, Basic Education Officer, District Agriculture Officer, District Fisheries Officer have been made members. . Apart from this, Asha, President and Minister of Anganwadi Works, President and Minister of Brick-Kiln Union, President and Minister of Unorganized Workers Union, President and Minister of Building Construction Workers Union, Self Help Group, President and Minister of Domestic Workers Union, Farmers The President and Minister of Mazdoor Association, MNREGA Works Association, Fisheries Association have been made members.

Accident insurance cover of two lakh will be available under PMSBY. In future all the social security benefits of the unorganized workers will be distributed through the portal. This database can be used for assistance in situations like emergencies and national pandemics.

After registering, the workers will not only get the benefits of various schemes of the government but will also get free treatment. In such a situation, more and more people get registered and join the schemes of the government.
