The murder was done by pretending to be the shadow of the spirit, life imprisonment to the mother-in-law including husband and brother-in-law

Third Additional Sessions Judge Pooja Singh has sentenced husband Vishwanath, brother-in-law Raghunath and mother-in-law Malti to triple life imprisonment for the murder of newly married Sadhana and her innocent daughter Garima. A total fine of one lakh 92 thousand has been imposed on all three. Half of the fine will be given to the son of the deceased Sadhna.

The role of a Tantrik Ramdin Ojha has also been found in this murder. His case is adjourned by the Allahabad High Court. According to Assistant District Government Advocates Ramesh Kumar Tiwari and Rohit Pandey, all the accused are residents of Nauravan village in Bikapur Kotwali area. According to the Tahrir of father Ramkaran, the in-laws had burnt Sadhna and Garima to death with kerosene on the night of July 4, 2019, under the guise of a Tantrik.

The maternal uncle of the deceased is in the Matiganj market of the Bikapur Kotwali area. Sadhna was married to Vishwanath about five years before the incident. After a few months of marriage, Sadhna was under pressure to bring a motorcycle and cash money from her maternal home in dowry. Meanwhile, a son and a daughter were born to Sadhana, but the harassment of the in-laws did not make any difference.

Sadhna was brutally beaten up and thrown out of the house. The family members took a loan and sent Sadhna to her in-laws' house with 10 thousand rupees. Meanwhile, Tantrik Ramdin Ojha instigates the in-laws that Sadhana has brought with her the shadow of a spirit soul, for which rituals will have to be performed. For this, an expenditure of Rs 50,000 was mentioned. The pressure to get this amount from the maternal home was made on Sadhna.

Stopped even talking to in-laws from sadhna. On the apprehension of the incident, Sadhna told her father on the phone that preparations were being made to kill her. The next day news of Sadhna's death was received. The High Court rejected the bail application of the husband and ordered the speedy disposal of the case to the subordinate court.
