A case of harassing the mother of a rape victim has come to the fore in the name of help by a constable posted at Uttaraon police station in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. It is alleged that the constable used to send obscene messages and videos to the mother of the victim and used to threaten her. Police have registered a case on the basis of mobile number.

The mother of the rape victim told that her minor daughter was raped a few years back. The matter is going on in the court. The woman used to go to court to advocate the case. During this, he met the constable of the Uttaraon police station. If the woman could never reach the court. So she used to take information about the case from the constable on the phone. The constable often used to help the woman in getting the information out of the court.

The soldier did not stop even after the woman's refusal

During this, he sent some obscene pictures to the woman on WhatsApp. The woman ignored him. After this this process continued and the constable started sending female pornographic videos. After this, the woman called the soldier and forbade the constable to do so. But the soldier did not agree and sent many obscene videos to the woman between 6-8 June.

Both the daughters of the woman also used to take online classes on mobile. When her eyes fell on the video, she panicked and asked her mother about it. On this the woman got upset and she complained to the constable. But still there was no hearing.

Case registered against constable

On this, the woman complained to CM, DGP, DM, SSP and Women's Commission and demanded action. The woman told that now the victim is being tempted and threatened to compromise. At the same time, the police say that a case has been registered on the complaint of the woman and investigation is going on in the matter.

Uttar Pradesh DGP Mukul Goel on Saturday ordered an inquiry against BR Meena, a 1997 batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer. Senior police officials said that a Ghaziabad man accused Meena of harassing his daughter by calling her late at night.

UP Police, through its official Twitter handle, replied to the complainant that the UP DGP has asked Additional Director General of Police, Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) Headquarters, Ajay Anand to investigate the matter and submit the report to him at the earliest.

BR Meena is currently posted as Inspector General of Police, PAC, Eastern Zone in Prayagraj. Meena has not yet reacted to the allegations against her. State Police Spokesperson AN Tripathi said that more details will be given in the matter after the investigation is completed.

In the tweet, the officials assured the complainant that cognizance of his complaint has been taken and the matter is being investigated. The complainant has been asked to submit a written application in this regard to the Ghaziabad Police with all the details.

The complainant, in a tweet dated July 30, had said that IG calls his daughter late and threatens her with different numbers. He demanded immediate intervention of the state government and tagged Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, DGP UP, IPS and IAS associations in his tweet. The complainant in his Twitter profile has described himself as a retired government official.
