These people were taking fake job interviews in the headquarters canteen itself. A woman has been arrested in the case. At the same time, the connivance of departmental officers is also coming to the fore. Such a big fraud cannot be done without the involvement of the officials. However, the name of any officer has not been disclosed yet. At the same time, after the truth of the job game was exposed, there has been a stir in the department and it is being discussed everywhere.
A fake appointment letter was recovered from a woman
According to the Public Relations Officer of the Income Tax Department, on Tuesday, some employees were informed about the fake interview in the canteen. After this, a woman was caught with the help of officers and employees. The name of the woman caught is Priyanka Mishra. Fake appointment letter, the seal of the Income Tax Department, and other documents have been recovered from him.
The game going on for 20 days
During interrogation, it was found that the woman was taking interviews of young men and women in the headquarters premises continuously for 20 days. Seven young men and women were also caught on the spot, told that all were called to give appointment letters after the interview for the post of Income Tax Inspector. Everyone had given 10-10 lakh rupees to Priyanka Mishra for this.
The accused woman is a resident of Shahjahanpur
According to the police, Priyanka Mishra is originally from Shahjahanpur. She has studied B.Tech and lives in Triveni Nagar, Lucknow. Her husband lives in Shahjahanpur only. She is studying law at a private college. To meet the requirements, it works in the Income Tax Department through outsourcing.
This is how the gang used to do fraud
During interrogation, it has come to light that this gang used to call people to the canteen in the Aaykar Bhawan, pretending to be administrative officers. After taking his interview, he used to hand over the appointment letter as well. After the appointment letter, he used to take three to five lakh rupees as token money. In the name of an administrative officer, more than 100 people took money in the name of the job. Two women used to live near the canteen during the interview, where the acquaintances of the Income Tax officials also used to come.
Department lodged FIR
The Income Tax Department registered an FIR in the matter on Tuesday night. The caught woman and all other people have been handed over to the police. Police are interrogating the woman to find out about other people involved in the gang. Along with this, information is also being collected about how many people have been cheated by issuing fake appointment letters. According to ACP Hazratganj Arvind Verma, soon the names of other members of the gang will also come to the fore. He will also be arrested.
